Nicole Rowland is a licensed physical therapist and practices as an independent contractor in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. She also holds a license to practice in the states of Maryland, New York, and Texas.

Dr. Rowland works in the areas of research, inpatient & outpatient rehabilitation, homecare and private-based therapy. Her scholarly interests focus on the topics of health promotion, disease prevention, education and its effects on aging and function of the musculo-skeletal system of the body. She monitored three Institutional Review Board-approved research studies where her role was Principal Investigator (1) and consulting clinician (2) during her tenure at NYU - Langone Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City.


Dr. Rowland earned a B.S. in Health Promotion in the State University of New York system at Buffalo State College and a Masters of Physical Therapy at Howard University. She continued her studies at Alabama State University where she ultimately earned the degree and title of Doctor of Physical Therapy.

She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Therapy and works with the American Physical Therapy Association. She is a resident of D.C. where she engages civically in local, state and nationally-based organizations.
